Milton Carr - Bio

Milton and Mary Carr

MiltonCarrMilton Carr is a church planter in Yerington, Nevada. NevadaFlag They are in the process of purchasing new property to build their church. The Yerington city officials have been very helpful and even changed the zoning of the property and granted a special use permit so that they could use the property for the church. Milton also ministers to the inmates at the Carson City State Prison and two different assisted living homes in Yerington. Please pray that the cutting of more red tape will go forward expeditiously and soon they can actually begin work on the church property and soon be able to meet there.

Dear Friends,

How wonderful it is to be clothed with the righteousness of Jesus Christ when we trust Jesus to save us! For we read in the Psalms, “The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry!

For us the past few months have been a busy time as God has given us many blessings. We’ve had a

couple of visitors, one of whom joined the church.

The latter part of July and the first of August we were blessed by a trip to New Brunswick where we had

Some great fellowship with a supporting church and also had a fun time at a reunion with Mary’s family.

In September we were blessed by the Northwest Baptist Missions annual conference in West Valley City, Utah.

In October we were blessed with some needed dental work, which we received in Mexico, just across

the border from Yuma, Arizona.

In November, thanks to a special gift to our building fund from a supporting church in Georgia, we were able to put a new metal roof on the building we plan to use first on our church property. A special thanks

to a Christian man who owns a roofing business. He donated his time and expertise and worked with our nine men on four different days to complete the job.

We look forward to God’s blessings in December. We thank God for health and strength. Mary and I are both getting older, but we are both getting along pretty good. Please pray with us that soon we will have

the finances to do more work on our church property, And pray that our church will be the lighthouse for

God in this area that He would have us be.

FAMILY – Joy, Bill and family are still in Ulysses, Kansas. Only three of their seven children have not graduated from High School as yet. Linda, Rick and two girls are in Centennial Park, Arizona where Linda is teaching third grade. Rick still has a hunting and guiding business in Utah.   Please pray for Northwest Baptist Missions as they hold a Bible Study in Colorado City, Utah, the strong polygamous area near Centennnial Park. John, Patti and family are living in Palmer, Alaska and are active in the Independent Baptist Church of Anchorage, where John is Dean of the Bible College there. David, Trace’e & family have just been transferred from San Pedro, California, to Great Falls, Montana where he is now a First Sergeant in the Air Force. Please pray as they settle in and find a good church. They are expecting their third child in April.   Grandchild number 18 for us!

Thanks again to each of you who pray for us and thanks to each of you who support us financially. We pray that each of you will have a blessed Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year.

Praise the Lord the new roof is on before the bad weather arrives!

In the Service of Jesus,

The Carrs

Dear Friends,

It is wonderful to know that people are praying for us.  Thank you.  And thanks to you all who support us financially.  Because of your help we can continue to serve our Lord here in Nevada.

We thank the Lord for the visitors who have been attending our services.  It is good to see spiritual growth in our people.  We praise the Lord for our young people who are attending Utibica Bible Camp in Utah.  This is a Christian camp that we were able to help start while we served the Lord in Utah.  We continue to wait upon the Lord for the funds necessary to do the needed work on our new church property.  We are keeping the property looking good and clean.

Milton’s knee is better and does not bother him all that much.  Mary is doing fine since her pacemaker-defibrillator surgery last November and the replacement of her generator battery (to do with her spinal stimulator) in March.  Between us we had three surgeries in four months.  We’re thankful the insurance money from our accident in 2008 came through at just the right time and we were able to pay off our medical bills (deductibles, etc. etc.) above what our medical insurance covered  for the three surgeries.  Now we are looking at some serious dental needs for both of us.  Please pray with us about this.

We are thankful the Lord made it possible for us to get a new-to-us van for Mary.  It is an 8-seat 2006 Toyota Sienna.  She hopes to fill it with Sunday School kids.  We’re thankful, too, that we are able to attend Mary’s family reunion in Shelburne, Nova Scotia the end of this month.  We had enough air miles for Milton’s plane ticket and Mary’s brother provided hers.  We look forward to reporting to one supporting church while there and making friends with another.  Please pray for us as we travel plus that we will be a testimony and blessing to our folks.

Love in His service,

Milton and Mary

Dear Friends,

God be thanked for His gracious mercy and loving care for those who love Him and seek to serve Him.

We continue to wait upon the Lord for the financial means to do the necessary work to get us into the building on our property.  What a blessing it would be to be able to meet regularly on our own property!  The new property is in a much better location than where we rent at present.  We pay six hundred dollars per month to use our present facility.  We look forward to being able to put that six hundred dollars to better use.

As long as we have at least one service per month on the property, we do not have to pay tax on the property.  Brother Lonnie Pearce bought a 24 x 8 foot trailer, gutted it out and refinished it inside to be used as a mobile chapel in cold and inclement weather.  When the weather permits we meet outside.  We are including some pictures of our mobile chapel and some of our congregation meeting there.

Milton’s full knee replacement surgery went well.  He can now walk without a cane.

He is glad to again be speaking at all of the church’s regularly scheduled services except the teaching of the adult Sunday School class.  However, full recovery is still in the future.  There is continuing pain and stiffness to deal with.  Mary is doing well following the battery replacement surgery for her spinal cord stimulator.

Milton is looking forward to baptizing our granddaughter, Katie, when they are able to come and visit us.  Possibly they will be with us for Easter.  We plan to baptize a young man at the same time.  As a teenager he attended our Youth Group, led by a young married couple in our church.  At that time they led him to the Lord.  He quit coming for several years and is now again attending our services.  Seed sown in young lives can produce fruit.

Thank you very much for praying for us.  Also, a big thanks to those who faithfully support us financially.  Your support is a needed help.

Your Fellow-Workers,

The Carrs
