Jay and Pam Sprecher
Jay, Pam and Caleb serve as church planters in and around the beautiful Jackson Hole area of Wyoming. In February 2011 they celebrated Friendship Baptist Church’s 5th anniversary. The Lord had assembled a congregation which averages between 30 and 35 each Sunday. The church has been able to assume about 40% of the Pastor’s support and has been able to lay aside $24,000 towards its own building. The Lord has given their people a real burden for world missions and with the start of Faith Promise the church has added the third missionary for $100 per month. Please be in prayer for their labor in 2011-12.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Last Sunday we had a good time at the Care Center and Beyond Home assisted living center. We had a record number at the Care Center and a good number at the other. We will have to find a different day to hold service other than Sunday by their request at Beyond Home.
Yesterday I went to the jail after missing for two weeks. The Thanksgiving activities and float for the parade kept me from going. I was able to minister to three men. The one individual asked for an extra private counseling session in response to the message.
I have a new cell number. It is 307-248-1667. Also we have a new and improved site address for the current sermons. It is: http:/www.friendshipbc22.webs.com/index.htm
If there are questions please call Caleb at 307-248-3249 or use the question link on the site. We are hoping that this will be a service to our shut-ins and snow birds as well as others on the Update list. Our plan is to list the five most recent messages .
Tomorrow is the first Sunday of the month and you are invited to bring in your Let us Rise Up and Build banks. Note also that on Christmas Sunday there will be no Sunday School or evening service, but we will have our regular worship service at 11:00. On New Years we will have our regular slate of services and a dessert fellowship following the evening service. This will be a great way to start the New Year with all your food resolutions!
God bless and see you on the Lord's Day. JAS

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We have said good-bye to the ground serveal weeks ago in Wyoming. We will see it again maybe in the first of May. This am it was zero when I looked out after starting the fire. We enjoyed spending Thanksgiving with Aaron and Kellie and the grand kids in Green River.
Last Sunday was wonderful with our church family Thanksgiving dinner following the morning service. We had just over 30 present and most stayed for the fellowship. We actually had two visitors present as well. Our ladies really did shine. The praise and thanksgiving service was a blessing as well.
This evening we will be hosting a float in the annual Christmas parade. Last year it was the only christian presence. Everything else was Santa Claus and jingle bells. We have two large banners , one on each side of the float advertising the church name.
We are working on a new plan to provide our services to our snow birds and shut ins. Understand that I do not have a clue what I am typing but am relaying to the more intelligent exactly what Caleb has told me to say! You can go to the following url (?): http://www.4shared.com/audio/Y5chn-fv/Thanksgiving_sermon.html You can access two ways: 1. Go to download now. Then go to Slow download and wait for the designated time. Then download, or 2. After entering the url you can play it right from the 4shared. He promises to make it easier and that eventually we will have four or five sermons posted at any time and will add the new one weekly. Of course everyone in welcome ot access the sermons. If you do visit the cite and listen to the sermon, let us know about any problems or ideal about better ways to do this. It would also be great to know that it did work.
We covet your prayers for the church. These are economically hard times nation wide. As many of our supporting churches are struggling so are we. I am convinced that the answer is prayer.
God bless and see you on the Lord's Day. JAS |

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
This has been a hectic week. Pam's visit with her parents is winding down. She will be coming home this coming Wednesday. I may be able to survive until then. Caleb returned from South Carolina Thursday. The wedding date is confirmed again at April 7. We are happy for Caleb and Christy and excited that it looks like they will settle here in Wyoming. It will be a real blessing to the church.
Last Sunday I was privileged to report to Green River Bible Baptist Church. I enjoyed making the missions presentation and also having an evening and afternoon with Aaron and Kellie and kids. I got to hold my newest grand-baby, Kelsie, for 45 minutes. Eat your heart out! Many of our people were out of town Sunday. Thus the attendance was very low. That was a bit of a discouragement, and a wake up call saying there is still much ground to gain.
The time at the Jail was productive today. I had a total of 4 inmates willing to study the Bible. It seems that they were alert to the Spirit's moving.
Next Sunday is our Church Family Thanksgiving dinner following the morning service. I'll be calling around tomorrow trying to finalize the menu etc. We will have a praise and Thanksgiving time following the meal. One of our men, Earl Kinslow, will bring the challenge. We will not have our regular evening service.
God bless and see you on the Lord's Day. JAS |

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Don"t forget that this Sunday is time change. Remember to fall back!
Pam is in Maryland visiting her parents for two weeks, and Caleb is in South Caroline visiting his fiance. It is just me and the dogs, chickens and horses. The dogs can be a real pain , the chickens show no affection and the horses are too big to get in the house. Come on now and show a little sympathy. Sunday I will be in Green River making a missions presentation. Daniel and Nicki York will be there to minister in our services.
Remember the Nov. 20th Church Family Thanksgiving dinner following the morning service. Earl Kinslow will bring the challenge at an afternoon praise and thanksgiving service. There will be no regular evening service. Saturday Nov. 26 is the night of the Afton Christmas parade. Come out at 5:30 and ride and sing on our Christmas float. Sunday Nov 27 has been set as the new beginning of church services at the Beyond Home assisted living center. It will begin at 2:00.
I was able to minister to 4 inmates at the Lincoln County Jail today.
God bless and see you on the Lord's day. JAS |
