oremundoOREMUNDO is a ministry of Tri-City Baptist Church in Independence, Missouri. OREMUNDO stands for Organizing local churches through the Recruiting of national workers for the Evangelization of the Spanish speaking world. Evangelist Valente Hernández founded OREMEX in 1981 to train Mexicans to minister to Mexicans. We believe that Christians working in their own country in their own language are more effective than foreign missionaries if grounded in the Word and thoroughly trained. Therefore we provide training and encouragement to the national pastors and Christians as well as missionaries through regular in-depth training by video, audio productions and conferences. January 1, 2006, our name expanded from OREMEX Ministries to OREMUNDO Ministries to express our expanded vision to the Spanish-speaking world. In October 2008, we moved our offices to Guadalupe, NL, Mexico to work closely with our sister ministry the Universidad Cristiana de Las Américas on projects to further assist pastors and local churches. Eddie and Dianna last visited KBC for our Missions Conference 4-6 March 2011.

Mission: OREMUNDO Ministries is committed to producing and providing quality training materials for Spanish-speaking Christians. These materials are for the pastor’s and laymen’s spiritual growth, which enables them to train others in their local churches thus supplying the church with spiritual people to become teachers and servants. We are also committed to advancing the cause of missions in the local churches in the United States. We do this by providing all the logistical needs for them to take their people on a mission trip into Mexico allowing their church to become stronger in the area of missions and broaden their vision for missions. globe

6 June 2011 Prayer Request PDF Print E-mail

Wish to bring you up-to-date on my health condition.

Wednesday, June 1st,  I was admitted to the Rio Grande Regional Hospital through the Emergency Room via Ambulance service. I was sent from my doctor’s office.  I was released on Saturday, June 4th. My diagnoses was;  “Pancreatitis” due to a gallbladder full of slug.

I am scheduled to see a Cardiovascular doctor this Wednesday for a heart stress test. If the stress test is positive, I am scheduled to see a surgeon on Thursday, June 16th to schedule surgery to have my gallbladder removed.

As you can see, I may be out of the office a few days this month. But remember, my cell phone will be with me.

I appreciate your love, concern and friendship. I request your prayers.

Eddie

Dear Friends in Christ,

We have been very busy these last two months. God has been very good to us, and continues to open new doors for our ministry.

Russell Raymer operates our filming at UCLA (Christian University) in Monterrey, Mexico. He keeps us supplied with DVDs and he is always working on new courses. They film, edit, format, label and then bring them to us. We label the boxes and do the ordering and shipping. We are amazed and excited about how God continues to bless this ministry.

The so called Drug-Cartel-Border-Conflict has affected our summer mission trips. We are asking the Lord to please secure these areas and allow our summer mission trips to return to normal. Would you please make this a matter of prayer for us? We are now requesting summer mission trip people to fly directly into Monterrey, Mexico. This is safer and easier for both of us.

Eddie had Surgery on his right knee November 30th. He is not really happy with the results. The surgery improved the knee, but did not solve the problem completely. He is learning to live with it, and do whatever he is able to do.

January 11th he had cataracts removed and lens implanted in his right. Then January 29th he had the same surgery performed on his left eye. So far, he has a little neat-sightedness in both eyes. He is wearing glasses to correct his near-sightedness and he must wear sun glasses when outside. He is very happy with his eye surgery results.

We are going to the Bethel Baptist Church reunion at Pensacola, Florida, during the month of June. Bethel is located at Rota, Spain and was our first ministry. What a blessing to see all the lives, which God has touched through this ministry over these years.

We have meetings scheduled in October and November. During the month of November, we will be on the east coast in Mission Conferences and visiting our supporting church.

THANKS!!!... for your love, concern, prayers and financial support. May we work hard and look for His coming!
