Greetings!

This has been and continues to be a very busy week for us.  We have a multitude of adjustments  connected with the end-of-year activities in the Academy.  On Thursday a group of about forty-five of us traveled to Lancaster, PA to see the latest Sight and Sound Production - Jonah.  As usual, they did an excellent job.  I especially appreciated the demeanor of our group.  Mr. Larry was quite concerned when an older couple approached him and inquired whether he was a chaperone with "that group" - pointing to our young people.  They ended up expressing their appreciation of the good behavior of our group.

Remember that both the Sunday night and Wednesday night services are affected by the schedule changes this week.  Our service Sunday is at 2:00 in the afternoon rather than 7:00 PM, and the mid-week service is at 7:00 PM on Tuesday rather than Wednesday.  I trust you will continue to show your support for this aspect of our ministry.  The Academy is a ministry to the families in our church.  It is a time-consuming and expensive ministry, but it has the proven its worth through the graduates.

Dr. Jacob Riis will be our special guest this weekend - I look forward to hearing how the Lord continues to work in his life.

Remember that our focus from Mother's Day until Father's Day is Marriage, Parenting, and Families in general.

May 13 (Mother's Day) - Mom: A Spiritual Bulwark
May 20 Samuel: Heavenly Minded in an Earthly World
May 27 (Memorial Weekend) - Memorializing Marriage
June 3 Eli: Good Intentions - Bad Dynamics
June 10 Hophni & Phinehas: "I'll Make the Rules"
June 17 (Father's Day) - Dad: A Spiritual Leader

Have a great weekend.
