This class will be a complete study of grammar along with writing assigments geared to improve their ability to write letters, speeches, short stories, poetry, and essays. We will make practical application of the grammar studied in writing form.

This class will be continuing the study of Algebra where Algebra I left off. We will continue with mathematics suchh as adding and subtracting polynomials, quadratic equations, graphing, etc. with application to real life scenarios.

This is a study of the settlement of the New World through the formation of the coloniesresulting in the culminatin of the United States of America. We will study the basis of our government, the development of the "melting pot" called America, the Civil War through the U.S. involvement in World Wars and Cold Wars. We will also study the development of the American culture and our standing in the world today.
The class grades are taken from daily quizzes, tests, term paper, projects, and 300 pages of outside reading. |

This class will study the earliest literature such as Beowulf along with classic pieces such has Gulliver's Travels and Macbeth. We will also take time to study Shakespeare's play Juliet Caesar. This literary study will be done in tandem with World History by taking literary pieces from the time periods being studied in their history class.
The grades from this class will come from quizzes, tests, writing assignments, and projects. |
