3rd and 4th grades
Volleyball
I grew up in a pastor’s home and struggled with knowing for sure if and how I was to get to heaven. After a while I realized I was not saved because I was relying on works rather than Christ, but I was too prideful to accept Christ as my Savior. When I was in ninth grade, I went to some special meetings that my school’s church were having. I let go of the pride holding me back from being saved and accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior. After salvation the Lord grew me through devotions and using camp ministries, mentors, and trials. I thank the Lord for all He has done and allowed in my life to chip away some of the rough pieces in me.
After graduating from high school I attended Bob Jones University and majored in English Education. After finishing my bachelor’s degree, I worked for two years at the Wilds Christian Camp in Brevard, North Carolina. Before coming to Keystone, I coached volleyball and taught fifth grade for one year at a small Christian school in Maryland.
